So, what do Queensland pineapples, tomatoes, passionfruit, capsicums and strawberries sound like? The answer will be revealed from this weekend with a free and open rehearsal on Saturday for the world premiere performance of Edible Encores, a brilliant musical collaboration between West Village, Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra - and Harris Farm Markets.
It’ll be mouth watering music for your ears performed by all 12 musicians on violin, viola, cello and double bass from Camerata, led by the Artistic Director himself, Brendan Joyce, and supported by mountains of delicious fruit and vegetables.
Providing the musical inspiration for this absolutely delightful sensory experience are five ‘heroes’ from the just-opened Harris Farm Markets at West Village – pineapples, tomatoes, passionfruit, strawberries and Imperfect Capsicums (these are from Harris Farm’s seasonal range of fruit and veg that might not look perfect from the outside but are as perfect and full of flavour as ever on the inside!).
